Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Top Spec Designs is committed to making topspecdesigns.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technology. This page explains what we’ve done, what we test for, and how to report problems.
Our standard
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across this site. We test against a smaller version of this standard on every project we build for a client.
What we’ve done on this site
- Semantic HTML for headings, sections, lists, and forms.
- Visible focus styles on links, buttons, and form fields.
- A “skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Color combinations checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratio for body text and interactive controls.
- Form fields with associated labels and
autocompletehints. - Sufficient text sizes (17px base body), with relative units that respect browser zoom and OS text-size preferences.
- Reduced-motion handling: all reveal animations and the hero illustration build respect the user’s
prefers-reduced-motion: reducesetting. - Alt text on every meaningful image. Decorative images use empty
altattributes so screen readers skip them.
Known limitations
We are not perfect and want to be honest about it. Current known limitations:
-
The portfolio sample subpages (
/work/healthcare/and/work/landscaping/) were built to show off design patterns and may not meet WCAG AA in every detail. They are markednoindexand are not used for any real business interaction. - The contact form does not yet provide inline validation messages beyond what the browser provides by default.
- We have not had this site formally audited by a third-party accessibility specialist.
How to report an issue
If something on this site doesn’t work with the tools you use, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as high-priority bugs and fix them as quickly as we can.
Email info@topspecdesigns.com with a short description of what went wrong, the page URL, and what assistive technology and browser you were using. We aim to acknowledge reports within one business day and to fix or respond with a plan within 10 business days.
Accessibility in client work
When we build sites for clients, we apply the same standard. If you’re hiring us and have specific accessibility requirements (Section 508 for government work, additional assistive-tech testing, etc.), mention them in your project brief and we’ll quote with that scope included.
